I've seen some complaints but I personally think they're really good. My music is played via Bluetooth on my HTC M9 using the Poweramp app, the sound is relatively clear and the bass is booming. My equalizer is default in the car audio settings but it is set to "Bass & Treble" on Poweramp. How does your music sound in your car?

Absolutely fine. I don't ever have the volume turned up too high so the more powerful drivers in the Seat Sound system would be wasted on me. I am going to soundproof the passenger and driver's door on my 280 so I'll be using acoustic foam on the speakers. Other members have done this and it improves the standard system still.

I have to have my music LOUD, Play Gabber, Hardcore Techno, Uptempo, House, Techno etc etc and the sound system is semi decent but that's it (better than the last car which was an Astra but not a patch on the Mondeo before that)

Biggest compalint is the bass is very loose and boomy causing a muddy sound rather than tight and clear.

Have a go at adding some acoustic foam around and behind the speakers. Worked wonders on mine. Makes my Hed Kandi collection a little bit more enjoyable. :funk:

Yeah like I said the bass is booming, almost overpowering on some songs, anyway to make the bass more crisp?

I have tried everything, Alot of mixes i need to have the bass halfway down then able to crank it.

Im not sure putting new speakers in would help any due to the low wattage from the head unit. Amp and new speakers is needed but these days im too scared to change the electrics due to warranty. :(

Yeah think im going to do that sometime this summer.

I was impressed by the quality of the standard sound system.

I'm picking up my new Cupra ST 280 tomorrow with the Seat Sound package, but I was listening and tuning the sound in a car with standard sound setup a week ago.

The standard sound system lacks the high-end clarity that the really expensive systems has but sounded pretty clear to me, certainly above the level needed to enjoy your favorite music at high volume regardless of your music genre preference.

The mid and bass was plentiful, I was not expecting this level of base without the sub of the seat sound package. As mentioned its not very "tight" but not excessivly loose either in my view. I had the bass turned up a lot on the EQ.

Overall a really nice standard sound system!

Looking forward to listening to the Seat Sound package system in my new car tomorrow when driving home from the dealer! :)

Enjoy your new ST Cupra - I've had mine just over a week now and done nearly 1,000 miles already and loving it - just feed in the power gently and it goes like stink!

I also have the SEAT Sound System and it's fine - as good as the BOSE system I had in my previous Audi A3.

Hopefully you will post some photos of your new pride and joy in due course!
