Steering with paddle shift

Does anyone know I have a 20 plate seat Leon excellence lux 2.0 tdi with dsg does anyone know if a steering wheel with paddle shift wok as a straight swap thanks

I imagine the steering wheel swap will work, but I don't think the paddle shift would work, may need some sort of software or coding ?

Most modern cars are software'd for everything!

Volkswizard changed his steering wheel and it worked with no coding needed. Someone asked in the comments
