Stereo Removal! Big Red Light Issue!!!

Hey,

Just picked up my new Leon! Woo! Got the garage just to pull the stereo out so I could change it over.

The Aura Tape Player is now in safe mode, and there is still a red light flashing.

If I start unplugging, am I going to set an alarm off or something? It looks simple enough to put my Sony player in there, just lacking a bit of confidence to do it!

Where is the light mate, if it's on the radio dont worry about it just unplug it and plug the new one in

Yeah - the light is on the radio.

the light is a code light fitted to most oem stereos means nothing other than will need the code putting in again if you want to put it back in the car. god forbid

The code should be in your manual - although there are ways around it if needs be...

It's really a piece of pi$$ to do.

Woo hoo! Stereo all sorted.

It's a Sony F7500 which looks like it's always been there. Silver Matt Finish with Red Buttons that match the red lighting exactly.
