Hi guys, new member here (not a new visitor though)!

I realise there are plenty of threads regarding how to remove the factory fitted stereo from your Seat Ibiza.

The 'Cut Up Credit Card' technique doesn't work for me.

The removal 'keys' don't work either.

I can't remove the storage box from underneath either.

Took it to Halfords (I have a friend who works there) & they couldn't get it out either.

It simply will not budge.

I know for a fact that the previous owner (1 lady) has not ever removed the radio or even attempted to, so has anybody got any ideas what to do?

One more thing, does anyone have any info on wiring an Aux cable to the CD-Changer ports when/if I get the headunit out?

Thanks a lot guys!

To remove the lower tray, you really just have to pull hard. There are holes in the top of it that you might be able to use to grip it. This may break one or two of the clips, but it'll go in and out much easier thereafter whilst still being quite secure. Mine was like this and doesnt rattle or anything.

Youll just have to keep trying with the keys as they are the proper way to do it. Credit card method worked for me. Once you have the lower tray out it may be a little easier as you'll be able to pull the stereo out whilst pushing the keys in.

Mine was a pain too, but as said a good pull will remove the tray and then once the keys are inserted you can get your hand in to try and push the cd player out rather than having to pull it with the keys, and the keys usually just pull out

where do you live, maybe someone could help ?

do you have some metal/strong things that would fit ?
just push REALLY hard and it sorta pops out, then do the other side and pull :)

I find credit cards just bend

Remove the bottom tray by just pulling really hard. Feels like the whole dash is going to come with you!!

Once you have that removed I used a cut up credit card inserted into the stereo clips. Just push them in hard and it should release and slide out (with abit of effort)

thanks
