Hi all,

I've got a Mk3.5 Leon ST FR. I've noticed that when I open the boot, the SEAT badge/handle stays pulled out and I have to push it back in each time after closing the boot to be able to open it again. I'm guessing this is not normal? Has anyone else had this? Going to give it a quick squirt with WD40 to see if that loosens it up, but if anyone has any other ideas I'd gladly give them a go.
Hi. I have the same problem. She had frozen yesterday. I pulled hard to open it but I couldn't. Then, after the car warmed up, it opened, but the handle is always raised when the trunk is lowered, and I have to lower it by hand every time I open it, because otherwise the trunk stays open. Did you fix the problem? I have decided to buy a used glove from a foot shop in Sweden for 30 euros.

This only solves the problem for a short time. The shaft rubs the edge of the mount. I now have a 2-part shaft that is firmly attached to the housing. Now the logo rotates on the shaft and it no longer rubs.

Maybe I should use oil and get it in place. maybe the shaft has moved and is not in place. it seems a little strange to me.

I have now repaired 10 of them, and the spring has never been the problem. The shaft is always full of rust and the housing is worn out
