I live in Halifax, there's not that many Cupras or even FRs around here, mainly just peasant spec SEs so I'm surprised it took them so long to find it. If the plebs that steal cars here are anything to go off though they've probably added an extra 0 to the milage by now.Yep cause you won't get many new ones of those at auction and if it has just been parked up all this time it was only 8 week old at time of theft with 1200 miles on clock
The only cupras I've seen are 280s, I've only seen 2 290s and the whole lot have been near work in Leeds or in Leeds itselfIm in huddersfield and very rarely see cupras. Not seen another cupra 300 ST yet.

I don't think for one minute that they were actively looking for it, it'll have just dropped on their lap somehowPlod are useless at finding stolen cars.
There was a story going around when I was growing up of a chap that parked his immaculate Fiesta at Manchester Airport, the multi storey, and went on his holidays. When he returned he couldn't find the car and neither could airport security. Plod were called and they also drew a blank so his insurance paid up.
He bought a new car and the next year went away after parking his car again in the same car park but this time virtually next to the payment booth in the hope the car thieves would leave it alone.
He came back, got off his flight and whilst walking with the wife through the car park found his old car sat there covered in dust and pigeon crap!
Urban legend maybe but everyone around my local area at the time new the story and a local copper backed it up as true.

I think I might have seen you a few times, are you a regular on the Stanningly Bypass?I'm just outside Leeds, didn't see any a few months ago, now I regularly see a 5dr and an St (both new 290's) , the copper badges make them easier to spot
No I'm at other side of leeds, so there's another orange cupra near me?I think I might have seen you a few times, are you a regular on the Stanningly Bypass?
If a SEAT dealer sold it they should make the buyer aware it was a stolen car/recovered. But as a buyer you should also do your homework... ie checks.
They got in the house while we were asleep and took the keys along with 2 Omega watches, one real one fake. I've now just installed a new house alarm, upgraded all the locks and handles along with a Patlock on patio door and just in the process of getting cameras. Looking at a price for a drive bollard and then getting a steering lock and possibly tracker for next oneDo you mind me asking how they stole it.
I bought my Carbon from Huddersfield, literally visited to see it, then again to pick it up.Im in huddersfield and very rarely see cupras. Not seen another cupra 300 ST yet.
