Guys

Just to let you know that my front door was bricked yesterday morning at about 0630, keys stolen from a drawer in the hall and my pride and joy is now gone!

Gutted!

I was at work and the wife and baby were woken but are OK

I don't expect to see it again but if anyone spots a Luna Grey FRTDi+ SC55DPN in the West of Scotland area please tell the police straight away

Now I've got all the hassle of dealing with the insurance - still waiting on my 'guaranteed hire car' one litre micra or whatever!

The house keys were on the fob as well so locks all changed too

I`m very sorry indeed, to hear your bad news - you must be outraged, that your family was subject to such a distressing experience[:@]:censored: - you have my sympathies!

What the heck is happening to East Kilbride!! - I pass through EK most days, and will definitely keep a an eye open for you - be sure of that! ;)

Have you perhaps a better description or picture of the car that you can post? - any distinguishing mods or marks?

Holy **** mate, absolutly gutted for you, not only the fact that they stole your car, but the fact that they broke into your house, where you wife and baby were asleep, and stole the keys. Its just the fcuking cheak of it all really, these people dont give a ****, and if you was there it may have got really nasty as you dont know if they had weapons, or even guns. Who knows if they will find it, just a **** especially this close to xmas and all. All the best for you though chap, hope you get everything sorted, and they catch these theiving little ba$tards and string them up by the bollox.

Thanks a lot guys for all your kind thoughts and good wishes

Songman - I thought EK was a quiet place, been there 2 years and we live in a really quiet street in Lindsayfield. Its sickening to think someones been prowling and looking in windows for any opportunity to get keys

Wilksy - still feel quite numb about it all...had to leave the house at 0330 this morning and was a wee bit aprehensive. It's **** that these b*sta*ds can do this to people[:@]

Anyway the car was a luna grey 06 FRTDi run out model with the Cupra R kit and 17" alloys - it was pretty standard, I'd fitted the fabia wiper and cupra R pedals as well as a Sony 6CD and the obligatory SCN stickers. My road angel was in the glovebox too and the baby seat and pram in the back

Reg is SC55DPN

No luck so far - police say it'll probably lie low for a few days

Insurance are sorting me a car today but no heard anything more yet

Thanks again for all your kind comments - keeps me feeling a bit more chipper!;)

Really sorry to hear they stole it - theiving tossers and breaking into the house for it too! At least all they did was nick the car. Were the keys on view through the letterbox?

Does this mean you can get a nice spanking Mk2 Leon FR instead? :)

Cheers unclefester

The keys were in a drawer just beside the front door - they've just been desperate I think and taken a chance they were in there!

Funny I know it sounds twisted but a new car would be nice - if the insurance give me the book retail value then I shouldn't lose anything...reckon the car's still worth around £14k!

:D

Hi,

Extremely sorry at what has happened i hope it alll gets sorted out soon. Please look at it this way, you will now get a more secure from door better than the old one. That will keep your family safe while your gone. Furthermore you will get a new car hopefully.

Sorry to hear about that mate-glad to hear the wife and baby are ok,and hope theyre not too traumatised.Hopefully your insurance company wont drag their heels, and if it does get recovered then it wont feel the same really will it?
I've got relatives in Greenhills and my boss stays up near the Salmon Leap Inn,always thought it was kinda quiet there too.Still fingers crossed it all works out mate.
