STOLEN - Leon FRTDi+ East Kilbride

do you think they may have mistaken it for a leon R like the incident yesterday? As it does look very similar :)

Could easily have happened, as the R's are quite a common target.

Sorry to hear this mate

Cheers unclefester

The keys were in a drawer just beside the front door - they've just been desperate I think and taken a chance they were in there!

Funny I know it sounds twisted but a new car would be nice - if the insurance give me the book retail value then I shouldn't lose anything...reckon the car's still worth around £14k!

:D

Sorry to hear your bad news.

Couple of things that might help my 55plate FR+ came with a tracker, just wondered if yours did and if the police had any luck with this?

Also if you took gap insurance out when you bought the car you will get what you paid in full. Mighty be worth checking if your not sure to see if it was included.

Guys

Just to let you know that my front door was bricked yesterday morning at about 0630, keys stolen from a drawer in the hall and my pride and joy is now gone!

Gutted!

I was at work and the wife and baby were woken but are OK

I don't expect to see it again but if anyone spots a Luna Grey FRTDi+ SC55DPN in the East Kilbride/Glasgow/West of Scotland area please tell the police straight away

Now I've got all the hassle of dealing with the insurance - still waiting on my 'guaranteed hire car' one litre micra or whatever!

The house keys were on the fob as well so locks all changed too

sorry to hear about this mate. I get a sneaky suspicion its someone you might know, I mean that is a big thing to have thrown a brick through your door perhaps knowing full well to get the keys out of the drawer.. terrible!!

Anyway, I live in London and work in the city, the LCR is always parked outside my home and the keys just behing my front door, time to change that I think.
Anyway's hope you get a result through insurance and they catch the damn thieves!! [:@] [:@] [:@] [:@] [:@] [:@] [:@]

With any luck they will be stoned & smashed off thier heads and wrap themselves around a lamp post, getting killed in the process.

Sorry to hear this mate, debated many times, but I say good skills on the key's being in the hall, I do the same, if someone wants my car they can have it, rather that than them coming into the house and bedrooms looking for them, what with the wife and the baby.

Hope you get the cash you should and it gets sorted quickly, oh and as said that the scum who nicked it crash it and write the car and them selfs off!

My keys are also kept in the hall by the front door. I always block my LCR in with the wifes 56 plate Clio. Good luck to them breaking into the Clio. I can't even get in with the :censored: keys!!

The sound of Take That blaring out at full tilt would also be a massive deterrent!!!

Seriously, I have a wife and 6 year old daughter and if they only took my LCR I'd be happy. Good luck with the insurance fella.

Do a lot of Leons get targeted??? I'm a little concerned now as I live in Manchester and park my LCR on the drive. No doubt it will probably go missing before too long :(...

I only bought mine a couple of days ago :(

Do you think they get targeted more than RS’s or CTR’s?

These people are total scumbags! No other way of putting it!

I also stay in E.K mate so obviously I'll keep an eye open for it - usually look at all the SEAT'S anyway! Although if its still in the area which i wouldn't expect it to be it will probably have different plates on it by now!

Hope everything goes smoothly with your insurance and the thieving scum are caught!

Bring back public hanging.

I bet they had a shock when they drop off, and heard the TDI, muppets BTW if its less than 12months old dont the insurance company have to pay out retail cost?

Sorry to hear about your crappy experience mate, but Im also under the impression if its a spanking new car less than 12 months old you get paid out in full. Just to be sure of my investment I GAP insured mine up to £10k above the invoice price.

Seems to be getting more common now unfortunately, and its not just Leons. My LC was stolen after they got in the house and took the keys ,and the day after an Ibiza Cupra went the same way a few miles from me.
Insurance have now paid out... £10000 for an 03 LC with £4000 worth of mods(all declared).Less the excess of £300 ..No way can i replace it for that amount !!!!! First offer of £8400 did make me laugh tho

It wouldnt surprise me if insurance companies start to say they will not pay out if its stolen with the keys as its happening too often !!!!! :censored:
