Who's been getting stone chips on the spokes of their Cupra alloys because they stick out further than the rest of the wheel?

Ive got two in the first 1000 miles and they stick out like a sore thumb as the alloys are grey and the base colour is white!!

Not had stone chips but had one refurbed due to kerb damage...

Unfortunately the white base colour shows through as soon as you chip it.

I've got chips on the FR wheels, and they dont stick out at all :(

Just one of those things you have to live with on the UK's poor roads.

I guess the choice is either to touch them up with a silver paint stick (if you can find a good match) or put some clear laquer on them, wait a few years when you'll have loads, then get the wheels refurbed.

They've got mad and resurfaced two long stretches of road on my commute-route.
In the last 3 days of driving on these unswept roads, my pristine rear wheel spokes are now peppered with dozens of large chips and areas of broken paint mainly from stones thrown up by the front tyres - it's absolutely heart breaking...

You're not from around East Grinstead/Crawley area are you, because they are road "dressing" around here, got my windscreen chipped. [:@]

Yeah my alloys are peppered in small stone chips and one large one on the front passengers wheel [:@]

I'm going to a local motorfactors on Saturday morning to get a few colour charts of various shades of greys and get them to mix me up a small tin of touch up. I'll post up the colour code and name needed once I find a suitable colour.

I will use the paint to touch up the chips with a fine artists brush.

Guys, I've found two grey/silver paints that match the wheels really well for doing touch ups etc.

1.

Ford: Machine Silver

2.

BMW: Silver Grey

I don't know the codes for these but those are the manufacturers colour names.

Information posted by matthewbentham:

I kerbed the wheels on my previous car (Ibiza Cupra) and found that the following paint matches the cupra wheels quite well.

Manufacture name: RENAULT
Colour name: GRIS BRANCARD EFFECT
Manufacture colour code: 205171 AVANTIME

I operate a ChipsAway mobile workshop, so I know what to look for in terms of colour match. I havn't kerbed the wheels on my current car yet(and don't wish to), but if they do get kerbed, that'll be the paint I'll be using.

The Leon FR/Cupra wheels are v.similar colour to Ibiza Cupra wheels so this should blend in quite well...

I have tried the above colour on my Cupra wheels and it appears to be a good match.
