Strange irregular noise Ibiza 6K1 1.4 AEX

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for some help identifying a strange, irregular noise that recently started coming from the engine bay, specifically around the timing belt area. Please see the attached video.

Details:

• Car: Seat Ibiza 6K1 (1997)
• Engine: 1.4 MPI (AEX)
• Condition: The drive belt looks fine. The car still drives perfectly and pulls without any issues or power loss.

The noise is inconsistent and I can't figure out the source.
Has anyone encountered a similar sound on this engine? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
