hey guys,

the other day i had both the windowns donw and i noticed a noise coming from the nearside of the car but i cant tell if its the fromt or back wheels. its not that loud, if the window is up then i cant hear it!

its sounds like somthing rubbing on the wheel but theres nothing hanging form the arches!

my mate said it could be the wheele bearing??

anyone got any ideas?

if it was a wheel bearing how bad/dangerous is it and how much would it be to fix?

cheers

wheel bearing mabie or you could have a boldge on the inside of the tyre thats slighty rubbing

My experience with wheel bearings that need replacing is that they are loud though...definitely something you can hear with windows up...when you go through a corner or slowly pull away in first gear....

So don't know if its that...

well its intermittant but when its doing it it dosent start till i hit 20mph but it will keep doing it till i come to a complete stop!

very strange!

I got the same problam but told it might be the turbo too?

garages just make things up about turbo cars, saying yeah its the turbo, just to claim some extra cash off ya, lol

yea its well funny even seat dont have a clue about alot of things on the mk3 ibiza......they tryed to tell me that there was no such thing as a water pump in the grill ......i then had to drag him out to my car an show them......twats!

i only use jabba sport now for jobs and services on my car as the just know all about them inside out

right i think i may know what the problem is..

i was giving the wheels a good look last night and i noticed that the inner corners both front tyres are totally bald but the outer corners look brand new!!

i suspect the wheel camber is totaly off!!

the previous owner had the car lowered 20mm but probalby didnt check the wheel alignment afterwards!!
so tomorrow i have to spent £112 on too get it all sorted!
