Hello all
My Tdi Fr 130 is 18 months old and I like it a lot.
However it has had one or two problems; the electric mirros packed up, a fair few rattles (all now fixed) and last but not least a complete loss of coolant; due to a poorly positioned clip cutting into a coolant pipe.
All these things have been fixed promptly and efficiently under guarantee.
However since the coolant leak there has been an burning/metallicy/plasticky smell whenever the car is used.
It does seem to be lessening and I wonder whether the spilt coolant has 'stuck' to other bits and pieces and is now burning off.
The car works perfectly well, is not overheating, punches along nicely and everything functions.
In the last 18 months it has spent more than two weeks in the dealers and I am reluctant to return unless necessary, except for services.
Anyone got any ideas?
