i have a 66 plate 184 TDI on 38k miles and have noticed a few strange sounds.
The turbo makes a constant ticking noise with the bonnet lifted up and the injectors seem quite tappy (don’t know if this is normal or not). There’s also a sucking noise coming from the turbo area.
When driving below 2k the car sounds a little tappy, and occasionally on full boost at around 4k revs on a long journey there is a turbo whistle noise. I have no loss of power, smoke or loss of mpg.
Any advice would be appreciated.
