Strange window Opening

I could of sworn that all my windows where up last night yet this morning the drivers sides had dropped about 3inchs apart from having a wet seat im lucky all the radio stuff was still in there. Is there a reason why this happens or was it just a one off ?

Maybe I'm barking up the wrong tree but, is there not a weakness with the plastic clips that holds the glass on the runners, maybe one of these has broken. Or else your car decided it needed some fresh air!
