Must say, it loks awesome with the orange wheels. Something ive been considering doing myself at some point.

What did you do/how long did it take to refurb them?

Cheers mate, first off we sanded the whole wheel down to the original alloys or near enough with a small portable sander and sanding paper to get in between the spokes. Then we masked the tyres up so no paint went on the tyres. Next step we put 2 coats of primer on. Left to dry for 15 mins. Next we put about 4 coats of the paint on leaving about 5 mins between each coat just enough time for each coat to get tacky. Then laquer after 15 mins of applying last coat of paint. We used 3 layers of laquer to make it quite glossy. Then leaving to dry for 20 mins then put the wheel back on ;)

Keep an eye out on my thread soon, fluorescent green wheels :D

I love really bright wheels - maybe not as everyday wheels but certainly as track wheels! As I said to Karl, he's certainly gonna get some looks now anyway!

lol its cool to be different lol
cant wait to get her out now to show her off my little leggies are hurting from all the wlking, but my wallet is ok thanks to no fuel lol

this is my print out from amd.my car hit 193.6 bhp after the modifications so far!!a slight ip in power ue to my maf when i got it mapped but i never go into that drop anyway so it makes no odds

What mods did you have when you made 194 HP?

What mods did you have when you made 194 HP?

at this point i had a allard fmic, cat back exhaust, green cotton cone(would have made more power with standard airbox) and a jabba sport remap
after the remap i had 176bhp so i gained over 20bhp from mods;)

Any updates fella?

I towed him to a local garage this morning who are going to remove the turbo and im picking the turbo up later for him so he can send it to TD, and then TD are going to send the correct turbo back and the garage are going to refit. Will is then going to map the car properly and also is paying for all the cost of turbo fitting etc and fuel expenses for when karl goes to get it mapped properly
I will post up some pics of the turbo and show if there is any shaft damage later once ive picked it up

It wasnt TD's fault in the first place was it? Glad that it isnt costing Karl anything! Hopefully it'll get his car back on the road sharpish. Think TD had my turbo for about a week. Dont know if you've seen the pics on my mods thread but they did a lovely job! sure he will be happy with it when it's finally done right.

I didnt mean it like that lol, i meant the correct turbo whos ever fault, if you get me lol, hopefully its back on the road next week, atleast Will is making an effort and wants to put it right

That is a sign of good customer service tbh. Will is trying hard to put it right which is what people want.

will has been cusht actually, but it dint help he was on holiday lol but hey ho
well i hope next wek the turbo will be fitted, then i can drive it till i have an appointment then i can get the map tweaked correctly

Well karl got a call from the garage who had removed the turbo so we went down to collect it and suspect the damage, the mechanic said there was no oil in any of the pipes, but the pictures will reveal the damage, a piece of turbine blade has broke off, and the play in the shaft is, well to say the least it feels like it will just fall out, its that loose, anyone got a idea where this piece of blade has gone as the mechanic couldnt find it

I'd had a fair bit of stick though - look how black it is! That side of the turbo shouldn't be as black as that....exhaust side - yes, not that side!

Dunno where the vein has gone....that's engine side too isnt it?

Is not hardly black, its probably my phone as i was trying to get the light shining into it to get a good picture etc and i think its just the way it came out lol. Turbo failure it shows

I doubt that the piece that had broke off has got into the engine as it prob wont pass through the intercooler.
