struggling to find ibiza alternator

phoned seat up and they tell me to phone back when I know what im after as there are loads of different alternators

proper arsey on the phone as I didn't have a part Number

Anyone able to help.

this sort of thing really grips my sh*t surely its there job to find out, surely they have your reg number chasis and engine number so they can just look on there computers because im on there system, my stealers know my name now cos im in there every week buying parts lol

put it this way, i phoned them up last friday and ask for prices.. he said il write them down and get someone to phone you back..

nobody replied..


phoned them monday and they said they where busy.

finally got through yesterday ordered some parts and they couldnt help me with the alternator, so i have a paperweight sitting outside.. rather expensive paperweight

my stealers are well good phone up monday, order, they phone me back on wednesday to say that parts in very good service, only thing is the blokes abit of a ****, but i can deal with that if he gets my parts quick, tried gsf mate?

Select SEAT Ibiza (III) from the drop down list. Looks expensive though, not sure what the dealers charge.

Im sure you can get away with any 1.8 20VT one mate. Its only the ampage thats diferent so surely a higher ampage one would work the same if not better

both are listing the same replacement 038 903 018 (X)

for the exchange unit add the X on the end - usually cheaper

not exactly rocket science to look up all i put in was 02 ibiza and looked for a 20vt

try local motor factors with those numbers or GSF etc etc - i can get em at work but im miles away
