i've searched round and like f2stu says the lower one is the same as the golf. dont buy them from ebay. buy them from strutbrace own site google it you dont pay the postage

heres the link http://www.strutbracer.co.uk/

I didnt know you dont pay postage if you order from the strutracer website. Thanks for that advice.

One other thing, the OMP lower brace wont fit a 1.0/1.4/1.6 - it clashes with the sump

Oh well  thats that idea out the window. Think i will just get the rear one then.

Bit of a long shot but were you spectating on the telford novices road rally aseveral weeks ago?..I remember seeing a silver ibiza with spot lights at the start of the rally, just wondering if that was you?

yeah that is mine i was going to build it for road rallys but its now going to do some tarmac stage events

Does it honestly make that much of a difference??

Im going to get one. Its only really because my car is lowered that Ive decided to get them. Got the front one on but im going to get the rear one to.

im looking at getting the omp front, rear and lower braces.
how much do they actually improve the handling on the mk2?
never really needed them on previous cars but as everyone knows, the mk2 isnt one of the best handling cars on the road

Check when using a lower strut brace if you intend to go rallying........

Sometimes they sit way too low and will catch on any lumps and bumps depending on ground clearance and type of brace. I know that the stuff for MK4's catches like hell but never fitted one to my MK2.

Having said that a lower brace will make more of a difference to the accuracy of the suspension than an upper. The upper just stops your windscreen cracking on the way back down from big air moments!:D
