stuck in 2nd gear

i have a slight problem, was driving home on saturday nite pulled out of a junction, i have to addmit i was thrashing it in first slamed it into second and now i cant change gear. the gear stick is loose and wont engage any gear...
does any one have a clue gear box shagged or gearlinkage

what about when the engine is off? can you move it then?

Sounds very similar to what happened to mine. Check the gear linkages. They are situated directly ontop of the gearbox. 2 cables attach to an arm. Check to make sure the cables are fitted securely.

Otherwise, it could be a snapped clutch cable.

Check gear linkage. Ive snapped mine 3 times LOL!

gotta be gear linkage! mine went 5 hours after i bought the damn car! it need adjusting pretty badly lol
i lost reverse 2nd,4th and 5th

Won't be clutch cable, as the clucth pedal would be slammed to the floor if it was.

I'd say gear linkage too. Easy to solve

agreed gear linkage seeing the gear knob is loose.
could be the cable or as simple as the gear lever come away due to your man handling it
