I think it's a real nuisance when the disc is loose and you're trying to fit pads. Also, the disc can rotate and you go and fit a wheel and you can't get the bolts through......
Finally had a few hours today to get rid of that stupid screw and get my brakes changed. ended up drilling the head off the screw to get the disc off and then iv just left the remaining part of the screw were it is to help me line the disc up to where it should be etc. Just taken it out for a spin and all seems to be working as it should can smell the anti corrision coating the discs were in burning off so i cant of cleaned them off as well as i thought i had lol, just need to take it easy for a few days and let it all bed in.
i just normally whack the hell out of the top of the screw, this usually shocks it enough and then screws out. Im a mecham=nic and change discs regular and never had to drill out.
If i wasn't driving it that or the next day, i'd of tried WD40 a few times before drilling it out, obviously ya dont wanna be driving it after that without changing the disks first. I has worked for me. I don't like smacking the **** out of any part of my car so i wouldn't go down that route unless absolutely necessary.

I always use it to clean the protective layer off the new disks as to not contaminate the pads, but i think i'm just OT wi it all really as i still wouldn't trust it
