after about 2 weeks of lots of phone calls and internet searches I finally managed to decide on some wheels.
As anyone knows who's tried to source wheels for an LCR, the brake callipers wipe out just about any wheel you like, seriously considered the Sportec's but the price was a bit steep

In the end settled on some 18" Subaru fitment wheels, can't imagine anyone else has done this yet as it was a lot of faffing about to get them on there, ie machining spacers, sorcing hub nut covers etc

Let me know what you think

wheels now spaced ~8mm further out than standard

hopefully to be lowered in the next couple of days

When you get it lowered it will look much better, looks a tad high at the moment....... not a big fan of the wheels myself, but like you say, no-one else will have them, good on you ;)

yeah reckon I have the highest LCR in the country, yours looks lower and thats not a mod listed ni your sig, lol

I think they look fabulous. The shape suits the car, as does the colour. And its nice to see something different being done.

I really like them, the darker colour goes well with the Platinum Grey

i don't like them, in fact i hate them. they would look much better on my silver LCR............... top job matey, they look the badgers nadgers!

I didn't understand this bit what did you mean? Were the spacers hugely wide? why not off the shelf spacers?

hub nut covers? are these the centre caps? what was special about them?

the subaru wheel centre bore is 56.1, Seat = 57.1 so I had to buy Seat fitment hubcentric 15mm thick wheel spacers and machine their spigots down to 56mm. Lucky we have lathes at work. I sourced steel spacers so I didn't compromise strength by machining.

The rear spacers didn't go on as the spigot bores were not deap enough to accomodate the hub nut cap, which also provides a seal for a completely open wheel bearing.... @rse! Actually used core plugs that tapped home nicely flush

the wheels are 7.5Jx18, 45mm offset hence another use for the spacers

15mm yikes that's thick, what clearance does that give you on the caliper? are 15mm spacers heavy? thinking increases in unsprung weight etc?

gives quite a lot of caliper clearance ~7mm but thats mostly down to spoke profile.

15mm steel spacers are heavy, and without doubt increase unsprung weight which is why I considered milling some material away between the bolt holes, but didn't want them warping because of the relief. Tough call:shrug:

Out of interest we tried 8x19 and 8.5x18 RS6s with 10mm spacers, not even close to clearing the calipers, so your set up remains a mystery:confused:

is it me (prolly) or does the camera angle make them look bent all to ****?bend your knees and take a few.
