Debadged
Debadged Rear
Today I debadged the rear of Dora, with
help of Arun (never done it before) but I added another tip to
help get some of the stubborn bits off
Things needed to do it:
Hair Dryer
Dental Floss
Sticky Stuff Spray (from Halfords, or similar)
Aftershave (My added special lol)
A Nail lol (make sure it is smooth, or it will scratch your paint,
I will not be held responsible)
Some cloths (preferably microfibres, so you don't scratch the bodywork)
How it looked before I started

Then I changed its name for a few seconds lol

1) heat up the letter/s with the hair dryer
then use the dental floss to go behind the letters, and floss it off

2) The sticky pad will be left on the car, so now heat it up again with the hairdryer, and it will come off with your nail (and I have no nails, as I cut them yesterday lol)
there will be some residue left now, this is the most time consuming bit to get off
3) Now shake well the sticky stuff spray, then spray, and let soak in for 5-8mins
then using your nails again, scrape off all the residue, then wipe off with the MF cloth

4) there will be less residue that will not go, now whip out the aftershave, put onto a cloth and rub into the residue, should come away slowly, repeat until it is totally gone using nails to
help agitate it off paintwork
5) Polish the area so it comes up nice, I just did a quick SRP, and put HD Wax to cover it (I know it was just that little patch I polished/waxed, but I wanted to have it looking good/protected, will do rest of the car next weekend

)
