Tried an N75 off an early Leon Cupra and it was a C. Car would only boost to 10psi.. weird.

Going to try an earlier revision of code.

Well, the chap with the LC I borrowed the N75 from says the car feels very sluggish after we put it back on. All clamps were tight, going to get vag-com on it to check boost levels.

Could my car be trashing N75's??

Why would it only boost to 10psi in my car, I thought C & F valves were interchangable, F being a later revision?

The C valve I tried earlier off an Ibiza boosted fine. (didn't check high gears for surging though)

So now I have two problem cars on my hands.. great.

Seat or VW don't sell 'C' valves anymore, it's been superceded with the F. Arse.

as posted on other forum.
not all n75's are plumbed the same. ports differ in their function so when you plumb them in to "look" the same they did'nt allow anything more than actuator pressure.

Cheers Bill.

I plan to exchange my F with friend's C from his Ibiza, see if his Ibiza likes the F more than mine does.

Don't think I'm going to be able to get a new 'C' for love nor money.

The C & F are different apparently even though one supercedes the other. There's a big thread on vwvortex and alot of people with surging on different software was solved swapping an F for a C.

Going to run the C for a few days just to make sure, still see a bit of surging but I'll do a TBA.

Hi Saul,

Initially I swapped the N75 for another F which didn't help. I then swapped that F for a C of an Ibiza cupra which reduced the problem quite a bit but to the point where it's not really much of an issue, I don't think you'll irradicate it totally and tbh I'm sure you wouldn't notice it unless you have a noisy intake and/or a boost gauge.

Now I get a single 'bounce' of the gauge when it hits peak boost flooring it under heavy load (say 6th gear low revs on the motorway)
