i know there's a thread about suspension probs on the go at the min but didn't wanna but in!

my seat sport set up (bilstein/ eibach) has made the normal annoying clonking sound for a while and has now got to the point where it is constant and embarassing. its only on the right hand side strut. i've just been out and tightened everything that can be tightened and sprayed a load of grease around but this has made no difference. is there anything that can be done to shut it up? would replacing the top mounts make a difference?

discuss....!;)

I bet ya mine's worse ;)

a friend of mine's even clunks with standard suspension, where as mine never did until I lowered it. I'm pretty sure the noises I'm getting now are worse than the normal clunking people get though! :(

Is it just at very slow speeds when turning, and it makes like a sequence of cracking noises? I'm still not really sure what it is but trying to find out!

mine was just occasional clonking but now its literally every tim i turn the wheel about every 5degrees! when reversing into my drive just before full lock it sounds almost like something has snapped... i thought my track rod end mite be the cause but its fine.

does sound like your problems are worse than mine though!

mines just a continual crack crack crack crack when turning at low speeds. not a clue lol need to take the front wheels off tomorrow and have a good look I think

more embarrassing when you're in a car park and people are turning round thinking someone's car is falling to pieces!! I agree, sounds like a common fault but an improvement would be nice :) let me know how you get on or if you work out how to make it any better.

It could be the springs moving in the struts as you turn, as mine does it a little but nothing bad.
