had my ibiza 3 weeks 52plate and noticed spring snapped, it had an mot the day i picked it up should they have noticed it on the mot? and also how soon should i get it sorted or is it ok to leave it?

they should definately have picked up on it on the MOT. depends on where its snapped, probably advisable to get it sorted as soon as you can.

could i report it to vosa then if it should of been picked up by the mechanic?

Yeah should of been picked up on the MOT and best to get it sorted ASAP.

you could report it to VOSA but the garage will only turn round and say "it was fine when i tested it" and i can imagine it being a lengthy process, but its your decision

ok kool anyone know how much to sort it? will just get the one side done i think?

It'll be best to get both sides done really just so they're matched.

Ermm just for a new spring or two wouldn't expect it to be mega bucks. And it's not exactly a big job fitting them.

Depends how handy you are with spanners - and if you have or can borrow spring compressors.

Springs are around £35 per side - but as said above - replace BOTH springs at the same time.

A woman i work with had them done on a polo (same susspension) for £120 supplied and fitted.
