The top mounts should not be that worn though cos the car has only done 25k, or are there uprated ones?

I have never done anything like this to the car and i am not the most clued up person so i wouldnt do this myself. So where would i go to get this done and a rough cost would be great :D

I want to lower by about 35-45mm so i dont think the drop links are affected?

Also, does this affect warrenty?

When i had my coilovers fitted the car had just over 30K and the top mounts were still in good condition so no need to change them. I would just get the garage (if you plan to have them fitted) to see if they are alright and then would save you some cash!

If you have never done anything like this to your car then best advice would be to take it to a reputable VAG specialist who would fit them for you. peace of mind then. Try and find one local or otherwise do what i do when i want something specific done take a long drive and have a day out!!

35 -40mm shouldnt cause any problems with the drop links. mine is lowerd as much as possible on the weitecs and i have just needed to replace the droplinks with new shortend ones as they snapped!!

good luck choosing what to go for :)
