Hi,
I'm going to update software for the Seat Leon Hatchback 5F1; One year ago I've done the latest official firmware update: MST2_EU_SE_ZR_P0253T.
There are little bugs on this update, like the volume that strikes down randomly... Is the latest possible firmware MST2_EU_SE_ZR_P0516T sure for my platform? I even had to update maps to the 2026 version.
Can You please help me downloading the righest version of firmware and maps?
(I attach photo of the current maps and firmware version)
Thank You,
Alberto

Well the latest maps for mib2 standard are here:

You do need to use the "workaround" to cover mapcare. If you dont it wont work. If you loose your overall.nds what to do is in the resource section to get it back. You follow the steps as outlined in the resource. All in that post re-reading it. Those maps work with any train.

As for changing trains via shifting to 516 you can not jump from a non 5* train. You may brick the unit, it wont work anyway. The likes of East Yorkshire Retrofit can do on the bench upgrade of the firmware. They offer a service where you return the unit to them or did, you'd have to check.

The other way which some members or member of the board has done is to use the mib2 standard toolbox. It's not for novices. You will see that on this thread in the last year or so. There wasnt a lot of experience in the use of this toolbox on the SeatCupra site. The toolbox can also brick the unit, if that happens then you have to open up the unit and short across pins. You find that on a Google. The same process if you brick it via trying to jump trains.

There are other modded firmware about but in the past people who have done this have been told to get back to the train that you are suppose to be on. This is where the firmware for a different train has been modded and doesn't work, buggy. The hope there for those guys was modding firmware for the higher trains bypassing having to do it properly - It doesnt.

Basically during the development life of the mib2 standard they had four trains, 2*, 3*, 4* and 5*. Fixes to each train were put on the train. Jumping trains isn't allowed.

The only clean way of putting 516 on it from a non 5 train is via a retrofitter or DIY with a toolbox.

I think it's @leonlad with the mib2 standard toolbox knowledge.
