Swap standard taillight with LED tailight

Hi

I am having a leon ST with standard bulb taillight. I am wondering if it is possible to swap it to LED taillights. Is there a LED ballast connected to the taillights somewhere ? Also , what is the connector to the LED taillight like ?

Had that idea, too. Are pre-facelift and facelift rear lights direct swap or do they have different shape? As I like facelifted more.
Though, dunno if there is special electronic to control them.

Facelift and pre facelift can’t be switched as the indicator on the pre facelift is only on the outside and the wiring isn’t in the boot for it

If it's just a wire, than it can be done. Split the wire for the indicator and reroute it to the boot. Wouldn't be fancy with semi dynamic indicator but I don't like it anyway. As long as you don't need to change tailgate I think it's possible. So no special elecronics controling taillights?

The pre facelift LED taillamps can be replaced by facelift lights but the wiring has to be modified.

He's not asking about one LED light type to another I don't think? I reckon he's asking of you can swap the non-techpack, non-LED tail lights for the LED techpack ones?

I have non-LED tail and I want to change for LED. If that would be possible why not to change to facelifted ones? So I asked if the shape of the cluster was changed during a facelift.
