sway bar links/coilovers

Hi guys, i'm fitting my coilovers to my tourer on monday. The ebay shop i ordered the coilovers from said shorter drop links aren't required, I plan to lower the car 60-65mm.

has anyone done this successfully without shortening the drop links?
