After registering on this site and after posting new and replying to existing thread's It's blatantly obvious that no 2 car's are exactly alike including engine's! Some are good on fuel economy, and some are not etc, mine is the latter, but one thing's for sure, after using a salesman's FR TDI while they did some minor bits on mine for a couple of days - mines a ANIMAL! Picture's to follow later on today for anyone who likes lookin

Once again I ask after the success of the LCR how they could muck up the cupra? The sports/btcc kit looks so much better than the cupra/FR.
EVO ran a tdi with btcc kit and it looked great. The cupra in the track and real world 2007 looked like an MPV yet again.

Its been said SO many times, the new cupra looks exactly like an FR and even before that looks like an MPV. I hate to knock it having owned an LCR since new a while a go, but straight line performance etc aside the new cupra has lost the "wan't one" factor of the LCR

i think you'll find that most manufacturers have dumbed down the range topper of late,
civic,focus,astra,(dare i say it) scooby and evo.they all look generally less knickable,the R32 looks almost passat like from the front end.
yet everyone is a little bit better than the previous model(civic aside)i know ZBOYD is happier that the cupra looks less in your face,due to living in a big town/city where car jacking is a new national sport.(and going to be in the London Olympics)

Something I had to consider too when I chose the LC over the LCR.

I can see both sides of the story with regards to the looks. Sadly, staying subtle and not standing out too much is a necessity if you live in a place like London. But it's a real shame, as the looks of a hot hatch are a big part of the selling point.

Quite frankly it's the low-key, subtle, not 'in-your-face' looks of the Cupra that appeal to me.

I find that driving the LCR through town of an evening draws undesireable attention from certain 'sporty motorist' types...

Crazy, I have to agree totally about the fact some are able to get another 100-150 miles more out of a tank of juice than myself.

I like my Ref Sport, but it lacks some of the nice bits that my old TDI SE had.

this subject seems to crop up quite a lot, cupra looks bland bla bla bla. The simple answer is if you dont like it you dont have to buy it, everyone is entitled to there own opinion, if you want the stealthy look keep it standard if you want to stand out put the aero kit on or modify to your tastes, imho thats what buying a car is all about looking around the dealers surfing the net waying up the pros and cons, going to the dealers, test driveing, eliminateing this one because its to slow narrowing it down to two, putting your order in, dwelling on it, its all good fun, you pays your money and you makes your choice.

I dont find it a bit bland though - just nice and subtle..
