Crikey !!! Do you have to pay registration on top of that ?

In South Australia, the cost to Register the car for 12 months + 3rd Party Insurance (covers the other people involved) is A$670 a year (it's based on the # of cylinders in the car - 4 or less, 6 or 8+)
Insurance for the car itself is then extra and age based, and currently costs me around $650 a year as well.

About a month or two ago my wing mirrors stopped reverting back to their original position which is annoying. I've checked the settings so can only assume a bug has been introduced in a software update. @Tara has the same issue. @James_R have you heard of this, and any idea how to report a bug directly to CUPRA or is it something to go through the dealer? My first service is coming up next month.

Is that drop down reversing where it's not repositioning correctly afterwards or mirrors in on parking ?. There is a whole subject on repositioning after parking. Sensors and stuff, perhaps they pulled the wrong parts out of the parts bin during the build 🤔... or messed up the software in the mirror control unit.

Basically you get the steerable ones with the positioning and the steerable ones without - the latter drift since they dont have the where with all to do accurately realign after dropping. Then historically atleast on export cars they fitted the wrong parts or both got the steerable with positioning. I christened it the Don test after the famours DV52 that published the test least on the old platforms. That test checks what is installed.

Yes its called the memory module so in the past the parts bin had some in with it in, others not for some Vag models. For the older platforms thats how to check:

Well if we arent talking about the return position from mirror dip then it's not that 😉. People who were use to see their wheels on the curb found that function not to work due to the motor positioner not supporting.

TC Garage are a VAG specialist in Copthorne, West Sussex, just a few miles from me. Before Christmas I took my Leon into them so they could retrofit a twin horn in place of the rather feeble single tone horn from build.

Anyhow, whilst the car was with them they took a few photos of it which ended up on their FB page of customer cars - I only discovered them a few days ago.

All very good shots, but I like this one in particular.

Very nice of them, and they kept your reg number private too.
