Cheers bud :)

My tax is up in a couple of months too. Sucks don't it!

If you do want a Jetex cone, I'd highly recommend a heatshield not just for the obvious, but for securing your filter and save you damaging your MAF further down the line. 007p with a panel filter will be good mate, I've run the setup myself. You will notice the 007p being better at holding the boost and to me it sounds a tad louder even on standard map.

Also mate, you should bring your car round to mine one weekend soon when it's in need of a good clean up! Would like to have a go at the red and see how it can turn out. Take some pics on my gf's SLR and have a photoshoot. See if DK wants to pop along.

£260 for the year :censored: what a joke, I'm still getting jarred from pot holes that I don't see in time from the last bloody winter.

The stuff that the car needs is ever mounting. Door seals need to be done, brembos badly need some TLC and I wanna set up the 007p, jetex & heatshield combo all together.

I need to win the lottery lol.

Popping over one weekend sounds good to me, my old man washed my car for me a good 4-5 weeks ago but didn't wax it, so its back to a filthy dusty state again.
It did look lush though, can't wait to get some super resin polish and some good wax on it to bring out the shine [B)]

I aint got a clue mate, but I'm sure we'll work it out :D

Let me know when and I'll see what I can do :D

Ha  I'm sure it can be done easily enough. I'll ask Jason this week. Unless he wants to do us a favour and post in here the g/s logging process on full vagcom?

If me and Chris sort a date to give his a good clean up I'll let you know in advance and hopefully you can pop by and use the SLR ;)

Ah don't mate. People who follow me must sometimes think I'm drunk :cartman: going left to right and right to left! I'm merely saving my already worn out bushes underneath me on the car from further wear/possibly damage!

There's a DIY guide on the door seals and you'll defo want to read up a bit 1st before taking your door apart..
Brembo's, I'm in the same boat. For now I'm going to get the lacquer out on my terrible left front caliper before the Bromley Pageant in June. Not sure I've got the time to get them fully refurbed before then. The jetex/jabba combo works well mate. Well pleased with mine. But a panel filter is probably slightly more responsive at lower speeds. But once on the move that factor doesn't really come into play!

Mate, get it round mine soon! What weekend can you do coming up? This Autosmart product I use is kind of an all in one. Leaves a good waxy layer but not thick - water will bead! But leaves a wet look also and really does chemically break down the grime and things like tar spots etc. I love it and try to use it once a week. Each time the finish on the car has got better. I also use their highstyle tyre dressing which is superb. Gotta get you some SLR pics of your LCR!

Nothing done this weekend folks due to time, I've not even cleaned her :ban:

However, I've just managed to do a full vagcom fault code scan on the car for the 1st time since I had lambda/knock troubles last week.

AmD certainly did fix it as there are 0 faults showing :funk: and she pulls like a train! I must get some g/s readings on the road 3rd and 4th gear soon. I need someone to sit in the car to hold the laptop while I drive!

However, as some of you might know my fans do play up and cut in on high speed sitting in traffic for no reason even after a minute of the engine being on. Not ideal and this is next to fix.

I noticed this on my fault scan below.. Is it related?

Address 08 -------------------------------------------------------
Controller: 1M0 820 043 E
Component: 1M-CLIMATRONIC X0702
Coding: 00041
Shop #: WSC 06402
Note: Excessive Comm Errors

As it's to do with the CLIMATRONIC component I wondered if this may well be related to my fan issues? Who knows. It's probably the control module which is shot.

Annoying if it is going to be a pricey full fan replacement, as it'll delay ARBs and full polybushing. But hey ho, she's worth it ;)

don't worry t0m i think thats a standard fault mine has that and my mates 11 plate polo gti also has a similar fault lol

great video!

Good good I hope that's the case and that's nothing to worry about. My fans will be getting fixed next though, really have had enough of them cutting in all the time when the car is stationery..

And thanks :) Was a pretty shoddy vid on the iphone tbh but you get the idea. I really would like a decent mounted camera sometimes in the car to share the experience!

Next Saturday 28th would be good for me but any weekend with a bit of notice would be okay really.

Will be giving the door seals a go with the old man on the morning of the 28th, so could pop round afterwards and see how good a job we’ve done lol.

Want some SLR pictures!

Got the door seal guide printed and all the required bits ready to go.
If you're gonna be hanging Saturday we can always postpone it. I'll drop you a text nearer the weekend and we'll sort it out.

Nice one bud, worth reading that for sure!

Looking at it that way, maybe we'll leave it this Saturday mate. I think I'm round my mate's to watch the champions league final in the afternoon now too.

We need to book a weekend in though definitely, get the red beast looking mint under some SLR pics! [B)]

I want cakes :D

:cartman:

Will this do you mate?
