t0m, are you in Petts Wood? I was there yesterday and think i saw your car. I was parked a couple of houses down. Low, Grey MK1 FR TDi

Hi mate. Yes that was me I saw your car go right past my car and house lol... I did have a good look at your car as I could but I was cleaning my sisters mini cooper s at the time. Do you live near by? I'll have to check your car out sometime. Loved the wheels what are they?

Nice to see another MK1 close by!!

I live in Beckenham. Was visiting a friend. We keep our bikes in their garage so you may see us more.
Don't look too close at mine lol. The wheels are off a Porsche, they are BBS RSII. Re built and refurbed them over a year. Really happy with them.
You car was looking mint too. Am a big fan of the R with FMIC etc. I had to go down the derv route as i drive a long way to work. I have plans to MAP mine too. Good ol' AMD map of course.

Ah I see :)
Hopefully see yours down my road more. Your TDi certainly looked good! [B)]
I would love those wheels on mine, they really suit the platinum's by the looks of it after seeing yours drive up the road.
Haha cheers, but mine is filthy at the moment! Needs a real good clean. Not sure why I did my sisters cooper s instead, maybe because I spend allday on the R and I really couldn't be bothered this weekend
The TDi's map well don't they? 200bhp and tonnes of torque!!:funk:

Let me know when your next headed over my way, I'll keep my eye out for you. Could get some pics of them together etc if you like.

Lol fair enough mate. Mine needs sorting in a few places but it's getting the time and money to get them done as always

Oh nice, I know jubilee park well, used to ride my bike through there on the way to chislehurst way for a pint (when the weather's nice!)

Mini update.

Few things to put down on the ol' RR..

1 - I've just ordered some new numberplate LED's. Not ebay this time! So hoping they do the trick.. Should be here sometime next week. :)

2 - eBay seller I bought my FMIC from is now ignoring my messages about where my free beaded lower fmic hardpiping is.. NOT HAPPY. So will be complaining, but also if this goes no where it just fuels my desire to get a Forge FMIC before the year is out.

3 - Tomorrow could see my boost/oil temp stepper gauges being installed. Fingers crossed...

4 - EDIT: Just emailed Dave @ Sere Motors. I will be ordering 4 new wheel centre caps on Monday morning and 4 new wheel nut covers to lacquer/spray to finish those off. It's the finer details which count!

Going to give her a good clean today inside and out ;)

Then next Sunday she'll be on the stand at the Bromley Pageant :)

Autogauge Boost/Oil Temp Stepper Gauges IN!

Update time guys, and I'm really happy with this one...

My gauges have gone in today with a massive hand from my mate Martin who really knows his stuff and did a great job persisting with the install.

A special word goes to sam bryant, thanks for the texts today to clear things up so we knew we had all the right cables. Also can you believe I've finally got them on the car after 5 months!? :bleh:

Anyway, here are the pics of the install, and also a vid of the ignition on/off sequence:

Stepper sequence Vid:

Over the moon with them :) The car boosted at 1.6 bar in 4th on the test run but engine not fully warm.. It then reached 1.7/1.8 bar and was holding in 4th on the drive home. Pulling like a train still am in love with the car at the moment! Lol.

Are you @ Inters mate? If so I'll just take them from yours :p

Will look into them :)

No not at Inters mate :(

Bromley Pageant of Motoring next week is literally the only one my car will be doing this year.. I'm only 5 mins down my road so it's my local I can't miss tbh!

No stealing mine either please, I'm in love with them!

Defo look at autogauge stepper gauges, do it!

They look smart. But I'd defo be a bit worried about 1.7/1.8 bar of boost. I was only running 1.5 bar on Revo I believe

Cheers Brad :)

I'm not 100% it was hitting 1.7's/1.8/'s but it was defo around 1.5 maybe a touch more. It defo didn't go near 2 bar though so 1.5/1.6 is more realistic. It was raining loads and I was more interested in keeping control of the car than looking at the gauge as much as I'd have hoped.

Next time when it's dry I'll get the bar done accurately :)
