Full Superpro polybushing booked in on the Cupra :)

Well today I had the urge to get my car booked in at long last for the full Superpro polybush kit at AmD! It's a fairly big job, can take 4 hours or so for all of them to be done.

Really looking forward to getting this work done as all the major bushes on my car are worn to their death..

Poly'ing it up should mean it never needs doing again during the time I own the car. It should feel alot tighter, especially at the rear as I'm now running an Eibach rear ARB and the Hughes Engineering strut brace. After the bushes are done, it'll be front ARB and front strut brace time.. Although complete brake overhaul might come 1st.

For those interested in the Superpro kit, see the 3rd offer down on this page:

Thought I'd leave it to the pro! Haha..

I might not have my new iPhone 4S by then so won't have a camera myself. Digital one's in my house are pretty poo compared to your Canon!! :bleh:

Fantastic update, cant wait to hear what you think. Will get mine done hopefully in the next couple of months. Does it include tracking as well?

It's not listed but they offer a deal on the LCR as well. :)

EDIT

When you getting these fitted, may be able to book mine to be done at the same time, have a mini meet. After the 25th is good for me. :)

Cheers mate. I'll post up my feedback in as much detail as I can on how the car feels afterwards :)

Doesn't include tracking I don't think..

I will get mine re-done at AmD though once they're setup with this... - see here: http://www.amdessex.com/news.read.cfm?articleid=113

What Gonzo said ;)

I wouldnt bank on them being done in much under 4 hours mate, its a lot of work invovled in some bits.
Maybe look at these at the same time too

Could be 5 or so hours tbh I've come to realise. It's not all bad, I've got the full price so I know what I'm paying. And on the same day Call of Duty MW3 is out so I'll be getting that over in Lakeside shopping centre while I wait :D lol.

Cheers for the link mate. Not considered that bushing set before, but will keep it in mind for sure.

good man, definately something I want done next year.

May have to think about getting these too

From speaking to jonjay - the full polybushing seems a brilliant thing to do if you really want to get the best out of the chassis on the Leon. He had this done to his FR TDi Hybrid, and that became a fantastic handling car.

Hoping to have all ARBs, braces done (the standard handling upgrades these cars get) by the end of the year. Then who knows, it may push me into the LSD route sometime next year if I'm pretty pleased with the results and want a bit more. Depends if I do get it on track at all I guess really. Have always wanted to take it round Brands Hatch - my local track. All in good time though! This car needs alot more upgrades yet :)

Tom I would expect them to do the tracking after changing the bush'es, they need to drop the front subframe so theres a chance it will be out when it's all put back together.

You should try and find some cash for an ARB at the same time as they'll have to drop the front subframe to fit that aswell.

Tom it makes sense to try and get it all done at the same time.
The plus to not getting the FARB fitted at the same time is you'll be able to see what difference the bushes make.

Good point, I'll check with Ben tomorrow but it would make sense for it to be done.

Would love to mate, but the knock sensor needs doing aswell still so I'm budgeting to get the front ARB the month after and the knock sensor replaced then too.

All in good time, lol :)

As I just said lol, I'd love to mate, I really would.. but my iPhone needs buying and the bush work isn't dirt cheap!

Front ARB will come along soon after don't worry ;)
