so devon boy you'll be looking at 260+?
with vnt5,
LPG
and injectors
fmic
and loads of other things!
may be visiting devon soon to see this beast!! and the sights of course!

also why aim for 300bhp? surely 250-260 is enough the car would be real undriveable with 300bhp and a zillionlbs/ft!

250-260 bhp can/has been done on a 1.9 PD TDI. I want to see how far i can take the 2.0 PD TDI engine and still keep it reliable and drivable. I dont see why 300 bhp should be undriveable in a 4wd car if it was 2wd then yes major traction problems, that was the whole reason of going 4wd this time.

got me some stoptec 332x32 disks + calipers for my 04 1.8T Quattro S-line - your right the std brakes are terrible - was going to fit them this weekend but have problems with the front suspension - again - clonking from front passenger side when lots steering lock put on, like when in a multi-story car park - dealer has supposed to have sorted it once with new lower arms on front suspension but its doing it again not 6 months after they were replaced - this was a big problem on the B5 A4Q's - so thought I would get this sorted first before putting brakes on, the stealer will only try and use some excuse that they have caused it otherwise

not much choice out there for audi's - some stuff in US but little advertised over here - and rear brakes is even worse, disks are unique to A4 quattros and passat 4motions, so nothing available 'performance' wise, but pads are same as Mk2 golf gti 16V so loads of them available

if you want to see some really nice stuff, check out stasis engineering in the US.....

Just had a look at stasis engineering web site. I see there brakes are basically an Alcon set up with there carriers supplied.$2995.00 = £1610.00 for 4pot calipers and 355mm discs plus dont forget the good old import tax. I dont know if they are part of APR but APR sell the Stasis brake conversion on there web site.

Nice looking brake set up. Any reason you got Stoptec brakes and where did you get yours from? What pads do you use as i have found Ferodo DS2500 pads very good for "enthusiastic" road driving.

I got them from a mate who used to work for APR - APR dont do them anymore - but the exact same setup is still available from Stoptec - I got them as they are a damn good caliper

The pads are what came with the kit, havenot tried them yet but they are Porshe 944 turbo pattern so most compounds should be available for them - I would also go for the 2500's, great pad.
