TCS Button/light

Its been about 3 months now since my TCS light on my dash has been constantly on, the button wont do anything now. The car runs as good as before so i dont think it will be the maf, it just seems to me that my traction control doesnt work, i.e wheel spins to easy and i dont feel that hold back when you change up gear. I've disconnected my battery and when i reconnected it and switched my engine on the light had gone off, but as soon as i moved the car the light came back on!!!!

If anyone can help me it would be gratefull as i do not have vagcom also..

ive got exactly the same problem! dealer said it may be MAF, possible?

hmmm yes ignore what i wrote it could be that i had one the other week that that was the cause

If it was my maf though i would of now a difference in performance ect... would i? i had a new maf on 2 months before xmas. Big Brother! haha.

well my power is not down, but the dealer says its the MAF?

i had the same problem, worn wire to abs sensor. £30 fix

finally had MAF changed today and we'll see if it works 2moro!

na it is the MAF, common problem apparently.....

im meaning if the maf dnt fix it! the spring brakes in the tcs switch and the light stays on....

the light does stay on now, but the default (when you start up) is light on, tcs off.......

yeah, i had to replace the switch when mine was on constantly, but it comes on every now and again, and vag-com is saying maf is on its way out.

could be either, but i'd try switch first, as its cheaper

If it was the maf then wouldnt the engine management light come up on the dash aswel as the TC warning light
