Morning guys. Well we have had some bloody freezing cold mornings over the past few days.

Anyway i have started my car up in the morning to de-ice the car. I let the glow plug light go and and start it up, And there is a puff of blue smoke that comes out from the exhaust, And thats it, Doesnt smoke at all after that. Havent noticed it before.

I have just had an oil change from a Vag specialist and it doesnt smoke when am putting my foot down (once full up warm). Cant doesnt feel under powered or anything funny.

Car has done 58k with full Seat history.

i'd assume its burning a bit of oil when starting in freezing conditions. not a lot you can do about it other than leave it running so it doesnt get cold! just keep an eye on oil level

Well only had the car for 4 weeks. And somebody told me it could be the turbo seals going. But am not clued up on stuff like that. Only seems to do it after the car has been sitting over night. Dont want my baby breaking yet .

pro'bly a spot of oil passing the seal and down the valve stems, shouldn't worry, but maybe an intercooler and pipe clean when the weather picks up :)

Agree. Also diesel is an oil, the diesel oil will burn with a blue smoke for the first few seconds until the engine has a little heat and then burns the diesel oil cleanly.
