how much does a new clutch cost fitted ?
is clutch covered under warranty ?

You'll be fine on the stock clutch with just a remap.
Sorry would have to disagree, The clutch is a week point in the car to start of with. I had a full custom map with the torque limited to 304lbft and 500 miles later the clutch began to give. And once it goes it only gets worse.
Id say its a combination of factors, mainly how you drive, if you like using the torque and going to make full use of the remap, then soon or later you will get slip.
My advice, if you can afford it go for a allard clutch plate, i think around the £180 mark, and a remap.
a previous owner has had something done to mine as a roling road shows 185 bhp , and about 210lb torque
would this be a chip or remapped , how can i tel, and i thing the cluch is slipping a bit
its the 150 cupra
whats the best clutch to get when needing to replace it , also want to change the dump valve or wastegate not sure whats best DV or WG
cheers

I hope you mean 310lb torque if not someone has ripped you off.
Allards sell a friction plate which is much cheaper than a clutch and does the job up to stage 2.

those figures don't look right....max bhp at 6000rpm for a deisel engine that is std? should be more like 4k..i would have thought the rev limiter would have cut in by 5.5k?nope its 208.3ibft
roling road done by regal autosport in nov 2005
and on the top its got :
185bhp / 5981 1/min (132mph)
208.3ibft / 3865 1/min
i will try and scan it and post up , is this not right ??
or could it just be chipped ?? how can i tell
its deff got paperwork to say its the tdi 150
cheers
