Where ever the wife tells me
Got out of the car last night and there was a smell like burning rubber???
I had this once before about 6 months ago
Got the car up on a lift at work this morning and could not smell or see anything untoward
All wheels nice and free, nothing rubbing, no oil leaks, nothing on the exhaust etc.
Don't think it is a regen cos it is ticking over at 750rpm, but could be wrong.
Any ideas?

Mine does that if I took an 'enthusiastic' route to my destination. It's usually combined with a bit of a heat haze coming off the brake discs!

Check your fuse box, mine melted the cover and shorted out all the electrics! Mind you, I could only smell this from the inside through the vents rather than the outside...

Nah, definitely outside the car somewhere.
My Mrs. took the car the car for 40 mile round trip today and she didn't have any smell ( she could smell it straight away yesterday)

I get a burning rubber smell from the passenger side rear wheel following a trip out... could it be something to do with the exhaust, as it is on the passenger side?
