Cheers for that, I can't believe Haynes don't do one - not even the MKIV Golf manual covers the diesel PD engine!
Has anyone tried the manuals offered on CD by various Ebay sellers?

Mk 4 Golf does cover the PD but Haynes have got somewhat lightweight over the years, the Ebay is Ok for the price but for any depth you need ERWin do a search on here

Agreed, modern Haynes manuals are crap compared to what they used to be.
You can get the official Seat manuals from Erwin (for a fee).

Haynes now do a manual for the Fabia, including the VRS, which would cover some aspects of the Ibiza. Some people who have bought it reckon it's not very good though.

Don't know about the Fabia one, but last year they finally released one for the Passat B5; it's crap, waste of money. Doesn't even have a diagram of the front suspension components which is what I wanted ! Printed on crappy paper too.
