Hi
I am really enjoying my new Terramar. However, I find it really annoying and aggravating having to go into deselect speed warning, lane monitoring and to OK map scale every time I switch on the vehicle plus having to select auto every time at night for lights surely there is some way that the software can be upgraded to remember my selections under my user profile or am I missing some means to override the programming

You'll have to live with the speed warning and lane control being 'on' every time you get into the car; it's a legislative thing on all cars these days.

I had a '23 Ateca until last week on which I was able to turn them 'off' permanently. Switching to a '25 Ateca no such luck; I have to turn them off each time I get in the car.

My partner has a '24 Dacia Jogger; same thing. She can program 'personal settings', with them 'off' but has to activate the personal settings each time she gets in the car.

Unfortunately, not being familiar with the Terramar, I'm sorry but not able to help with your other queries although I'd have thought you should be able to set the lights to auto; I still have a physical switch with off / auto / side / main, and leave it on auto all the time.

Probably that pesky SFD2 and that EU directive. @East Yorkshire Retrofits its to protect the integrity of the car. Don't think anyone has a workaround to SFD2 yet. Its all locked down. With connected cars you could find you got a bot mobile network so the security of the infotainment system and the integrity of the car has been taken more seriously. But yes East Yorkshire did quote a directive at me recently around data integrity, I recall, I said it was safety since they were safety features that they are stopping you from changing, but the directive was around data integrity from my quick read and memory. There are things that SFD2 doesn't protect and there are things that Retro-fitters can do with Vag licenced equipment that VAG earn income from. Hobbyists are locked out due to encryption on mib3 specifically and VAG are holding onto the keys. SFD2 is on wider systems. Some protected, some not. Depends which one. Lane assist with SFD one you could toggle to change remember last via coding. That I think is out of reach. SFD2 2025 model range. 2020 when mib3 came in locking users out of the backend with coding devices and hacks. 2025 SFD2 and wider systems... I'm sure I'll be straightened up.
