Testing an intercooler for damage??

Hi guys

I have just bought a 2nd hand intercooler and pipe work but some of the fins are crushed at the top

Is there a way to check the intercooler will function right?

you can pressure test for leaks..
bung each end, apply some air pressure and immerse in your bath tub and look for bubbles

obviously where there's crushed fins it wont be as efficient heat exchanging

Yeah theres not many just a few on the top row

Not 100% what intercooler it is as it came off a right off but was super cheap


Do they make much difference in ponies???

they will preserve the ones you have if its any good

Is there anyway of finding out what make the intercooler is?

Might be easy to buy a new one

prob best way is to post a pic ,most of us should be able to tell you what make/sort it is
