Cupra R Splitter or Cupspoiler

Fancy a change, the bumper has to come off to re fit my Uk Xenons..

Thinking about losing the Cupsoiler for a while (Collects snow in winter! lol) and fitting a LCR splitter, cheep & cheerful...

Any pics of MkII Cupras with LCR splitters?

Cheers

Have you not seen the new Cupra R's with the splitter?? I dunno what they're called to be honest, but it looked different to the normal bumper

How big of a job was it to remove and bypass you air con pump? I'm considering doing it myself as I never use aircon in the car, and I'm going down the weight saving route like yourself :)

How did removing it effect mpg??

I was having Cambelt done anyway, didnt charge me for removing the pump

A By pass belt can be bought from Dave at SERE

The car has lost alot of weight and had the aero dynamic underbody improvements so it's all helped towards MPG :)

How much was the belt? I'm guessing once the I have the belt its just a matter of unbolting the pump?

I'm defiantly going to get the underbody aero stuff once pay day is here, has to be one of the best mods I've seen on here for a while. Remaps, induction kits etc. are great but common as anything.

Thanks for the help :)

Any more pics + write ups on the way?

Just thought, do you have the aircon radiator removed? I had this done beforehand for more cool air to the intercooler. When they did this they MAY have released the aircon gas / refrigerant in a special way... Not sure though.

Mike, the carbonio intake - do you take out the panel filter with this intake? Im led to believe that the intake has a cone inside it?

Not really bothered about gains. Priority now is to fix what I have got!!! The panel filter was just to ensure there was no restriction of air flow

Got ya. But 6 months down the line when you hit the super slippery slope of extracting more power it will be spending money twice on the inlet ;)

Forge twintake has shiny carbon and sets you up for future upgrades :)

Just my 2p

Cars looking awesome by the way :)

Ah ha, yea good point.
Won't the carbonio also effect your warranty if the dealer wants to be fussy?

The carbonio is obviously far easier to put back OEM for a trip to the garage, the twintake / ITG is only 30/40 mins work too though :)
