Hi there, I have a 2007 2.0 TFSI Sport with 25,000 miles on the clock and for a few months now it seems to almost "hold back" more than it used to on a trailing throttle as you approach lights or a junction etc. I'm sure it didn't do this before, it feels like it's holding back more that it should - anyone got any ideas what might be wrong? Apart from this it idles smoothly and still goes like a dingbat (it was only serviced about a fortnight ago but I forgot to mention this problem).

I'm at a bit of a loss - is it the sort of thing a dealer might be ale to help with (it's a very subtle problem)?

Cheers, Mark B
:D

I know someone who had this just recently on a 2.0TFSi Sport. First step would be to get the car scanned for faults and go from there.

Being honest though, I would hedge my bets on the car needing a new PCV valve and/or a new diverter valve. While at it, you would definitely be worth checking the cam follower between the fuel puimp and the camshaft for wear.

The good thing is that these parts are not expensive - the most likely issue on your car will be the diverter valve. You can buy a Rev D version from David from SERE on here.

Forgot to mention these parts fixed the 2.0TFSi Sport which has the same 2.0TFSi BWA engine as your car :)

Many thanks - next job is to see if a dealer will understand this stuff! Or is there a good indie in the West Midlands?
