ill be up for a local meet guys just let me know when as i only live in grimsby on laceby acres now. our car used to be in stallingborough a lot when i was still living in immingham though as the mrs used to be a carer for the elderly & had a lot of clients there. but it was still relatively standard back then having just the facelift front bumper on.

anyway a little update still stuggeling to get the door off, cant belive how much of a pig it is lol

so another atempt will be made in the morning

yeh it used to be parked on the main rd quite a bit, if you like ill have a go at your door with you if it helps. it took me ten mins to get both off my golf. ill give you a txt in the morning & if its ok to nip down i will.

got a little bit more done today

had to get the wing off to get the door off because of the way the door had bent, was a bugger to do

so next step is to ge the wing back on lol

it wont look so bad once its built back up. id rather have an odd coloured door than the crater that was there earlier. ive just found out my noise could be the diff bearing by the way. so if thats the case its new gearbox for me.... anyone done one before? just wondered how hard it is on these.... the haynes manual dosent cover it it just says take it to a garage lol but i aint got the money for that so itll be a driveway job if it needs one

Well there's been a mess up with my rods so a little longer to wait grrr

On a good note got a few more bits done today

Got the interior out and all cleaned out finally lol

Got the lock changed in the door (no pic cba lol)

Got the wing back on too but it was too dark to get a shot really

that cooler looks rather wide.

i dont think it will fit without removing the big bumper honeycomb griller.

i had to buy a 500x300x76 core cooler and modify its end tank outlets to get it right, withour cutting the grille.

oh and another thing.

Are you sure this manifold you bought will fit in the car? That manifold orientation afaik, doesnt fit the ibizas...moves the turbo way back.

I hope i am wrong.

sorry guys not been much of an update really, and dont come on here too much any more either

yeah the cooler is pretty big and i belive there is going to be bumper modifications :S

and no the mani isnt the best choice or fit admittedly but got it really cheap, we are going to see what we can do there but have a back up too :S :S
