I dont know the exact size of the diffuser but should not cost more than £10 i would guess, I have a roll of 2m x 1.5m of the 3M stuff which I got pretty cheap off ebay so got enough to do quite a bit

I just had a look at the eBay shop where i got mine from (so i know its all the same) and it'd cost about £12 for the wrap which isnt bad i suppose!

Looks way better mate :)
love the mirrors, i was thinking of doing mine, is it easy to do without getting bubble with them being curved? are they easy enough to remove? ive heard they are a pain to get off lol

also earlier you mentioned static+ whats that?? haha

cant wait to see more :)

The mirrors were a piece of p1ss, and ive gotta stress it was my first ever go at wrapping. To fetch off, just get your nails in and pull! drivers side was a b1tch to get off but passenger side came off easy peasy!

just make sure you have a heat gun as that is a definite requirement!

Static+ is air ride principles on coilovers. basically, you have modules that fit on your front coilovers when at the push of a button you get anywhere from 0-50mm lift. its a fraction of the cost of air-ride. have a read up - Stance Solutions - Static+

How did you do the rapping? Is it a case of heating it and stretching it?
Like the idea of the front lift kit. Nice looking car.

Loving this thread! I've just bought a red fr on friday and it seems like we both have similar tastes in mods!
Was thinking of going down the carbon wrap and bbs lms route two.... weird coincidence.

Out of interest how much carbon wrap did you buy to do the splitter and mirrors?

Cheers... Decided to buy a bigger sheet in the end...
I've done the mirrors and the chrome grill surround.
Waiting for better weather to do the reg surround and possibly the rear diffuser.
Will start a thread once I get some decent pictures on the go.

Oh yh i know how it is believe me lol, got my car in jan and it took at least 6 months before i could start buying things for it just for that reason haha

You going for coilovers instead of springs then? i would of but its a dear do unless you go for them fk street is it?

Havent you got the petrol fr? i didnt know there was a coilpack recall on ours, thought it was just the diesel, how do you know if they need doing? by how it ticks over and runs?

sorry for all the questions there haha

Coilovers will give me the most flexibility with stance. I'm tempted by the cheap ones, but I have seen some that you can adjust the damping whilst on the car, which appeals to me.

Yeah, petrol TFSI, there was a callback on most 07's. Diesels dont have coilpacks(i think)

Having the call back as when I've been giving her the beans recently, shes had 1 or two misfires in cylinder one.

One update that I forgot..LED sidelights and reg lights. Just need the HID's now.

Looking good now man :)

Ive got the pioneer 4200bt (probably the older model of yours) and its a great stereo and looks quite oem too, going off the wire i had to send the green one to a power wire if i remember rightly, could be wrong tho as its a while ago haha, its supposed to go to your handbrake really so you can only watch videos when it detects the handbrake up, it could be a ground wire on second thoughts lol, as for those other wire no theyre not needed as far as i can see, one will be a remote wire for an amp etc

im still wanting HIDs too haha
