how is your standard shocks coping with the lowering springs mate? ive got a chance of 40mm lowering springs (apex) for my vrs and wondered about running on standard shocks

well tbh but i have only dropped it 25-30mm, in all honesty at 40mm i would change the shocks especially with Apex springs which are rock hard, and personally i think it would but the standard shocks under too much stress.

You thought about painting the chrome ring around the S badge red?

i did, but i like the chrome in all honesty. Believe it or not, i was looking at the chrome kit to go around the grills either side of the main grill i know im on my own on that one

Car's looking mint Phil, keep up the good work. All nice and subtle mods, they are the best ones.

Didn't you run 45mm Spax springs on your Ibiza with standard shocks? I think you didn't have them on long though as you sold the car. How was the ride compared to standard? Better, worse?

also cleaned out the pollen filter from behind the glove box and this is 1/2 of what fell out

A/C is much nicer now and more effective

shame all this was marred by my twat of a neighbour who doesnt like me parking in the street infront of his house deciding to gobbed on the car 4 times this afternoon and then let the tyres down I can only presume that its cause of the above and that i didnt buy them from him (he's supposidly an area manager for ATS) He was giving the tyre fitter hell today as he was 'taking business off him'. What a ****.

on another note, car is going in for service end of may and i will be putting a new map on it as im really not happy atm with the p-torque map, performance is very irratic, flat spots all over the rev range ive had the internals fully checked so mechanically i know its sound so we will try a different map and take it from there as that almost certainly what it is, so the map must have corrupted.

Car's looking good Phil! I'm tempted to get the black mirror covers for my FR, yours look much better than the grey ones.

I'd try keep your car away from there for a while, who knows what he'll do next! :(

cheers mick, the gloss black caps do look alot better than the standard FR ones, the contrast of dark on light really works

and yeh cars moved down the road for a bit, cops are coming over tonight to have a word with me over it, its not the first time this has happened, 'somebody' gobbed on the rear last month..... any takers  problem he has is that theres 10 houses on the row 10 parking spaces inn 2 parking lots, and nearly 30 cars, if i dont park there, somebody else will. this is what i mean by the parking lots.

erm... thanks???? [B)]

the boot light was a right royal PIA to change whoever said that the light just needs to bu levered out has obviously never heard of the SEAT parts bin lottery  as i had to dismantle the boot and rear quater of the car to get to the little blighter thanks to the wiring they've used. It does however really highlight the build quality of this little cars as everything snapped back in and is every bit as tight as it was before :D

Having said that tho it was worth it as i'm very happy with them and really does smarten up the interior
