thick black oil/grease on inside of alloy?

took my front drivers side alloy off today and found thick oil/grease on the inside of the alloy and on the brake caliper an cv joint. what would be leaking? cv joint, damper or brakes? thanks

sounds like cv joint. have you check the cv boot for splits?

did have a look and to be honest it did look like the cv joint most of the oil/grease was on the boot. was hoping it was that just had new coilovers!

It'll cost you about £20-25 for the replacement CV joint kit, and if you don't mind getting your hands dirty it's a fairly easy fix!

Euro Car Parts, GSF etc, maybe even try Dave @ Sere for genuine if it's reasonably priced. I'll get back to you tonight with a guide, just setting off for work!
