Things to have checked before warranty runs out?

My warranty will be expiring in spring next year. I plan to have the MOT done just before if I can so anything brought up on there which is covered can be claimed against it. But -- are there any other things in particular (ie, common faults) that I should have checked before it runs out rather than finding out a bit later and costing me an arm and a leg!

Car is FR TDi 2006.

If it hasn't gone wrong already it shouldn't "just go" so to speak when your warranty is over. You can ask for a 102point check??

Might be worth having a service done about the same time to see if that spots anything.

I know where your coming from I did the same with my Celica. Didn't get a service as I knew I was replacing the car shortly, but had the MOT done and got an advisory on the brake so it was "Right, so that will be fixed under warranty?"

Got new discs on the front, the rear discs skimmed, but I paid for pads as you should always change them along with the discs. Got a new set off alloys (the fourth set on that car), hatch back struts and part of the facia replaced as well.

Give the car a good check over yourself as well, check that everything works as it should.

yes, before they ironed out all their bloody problems I think! :)

Just check the reg cert and it's actually newer than I thought lol - only by a couple of months though...

Date of first registration is 05/07/06. I should be needing the 50k service by July this year so might be able to squeeze that in before it runs out! :)

How much you looking at to get a 102 point check done?

Cheers
