Hmmmm. I am not 100% sure what I wana go for. Tempted by something with the vag cr170 engine in it, but also been looking at 330D's but it would take me a while to be able to afford one

I was only going on me bike once a month when I first got the cupra, now I'm going at least once a week. Getting 25mpg everywhere is no good to me now!!

Really gna miss it, but needs must at the end of the day!

A guy at work says he get mid to high 40's, but he's an older guy so his driving style, I imagine, is very law abiding and light footed. He's nit the type to ever take advantage of all that torque.

A cheap and not bad looking car is either the Vauxhall Insignia Estate or the Astra Sports Tourer shed loads in the first year making them good second hand bargains. There is also the Exeo Advant if you want the CR 170 lump.

You a mind reader lol??

Been looking at both of those cars. The insignia estate is really cheap, I was surprised tbf

Saw a nice exeo estate for 11k that I liked the look of

And to whoever suggested an Audi a5, I struggle to get my bike into a cupra, so a 3 door would be even worse lol!! Cheers tho ;)

I think I could live with the change, I would definitely go for something in the VAG group.

Although as you said I do like the 3 series - I would go for a Alpina D3 estate. Not sure what prices are atm though.

Couldn't afford one yet mate. Plus, I don't fancy spending that much money on a car that is just going to get muddy :(

try it and see, the signum is surprisingly good considering but then again it is on lowering springs

i have not owned a fast fast car, corsa 1.2, ibiza 1.2, fiesta 1.4 and now astra 1.6 (all petrol). And now in a few weeks take delivery of my new leon 1.6 tdi. To be honest I do like diesel cars because of the economy it might just be me but I think diesel powered cars car ok

Why not get something like an L200? You won't miss performance that much as its a totally different drive. Downside is it wont be massively better on fuel.

and a different route depending on family etc go for something like a Ford S-Max (the best to drive supposdily) or go for something different like a Merc B200 turbo if fancy staying petrol or they do a massive range of dervs. BMW X3? not the prettiest but cheap

Merc

Ford Mundanos aint to bad either. Your bike would fit into a A5 Sportback

I know mate, but it's the boot opening that is the problem. It isn't a small cross country bike, it's a downhill bike with massive forks so it is difficult to get into the boot. Need to get an estate with a flat boot opening :)
