Hi,

I am thinking about buying a Cupra T or Cupra R was just wondering what differences they have and which would be the best to buy.

I have seen this one in autotrader;
h t t p://preview.tinyurl.com/yjzrcwn

It has been resprayed from yellow to white with a black roof just wondering if anyone knows of this car and why its like.

Thanks

P.S On the link you have to put http together as forum woudlnt let me post link.

Well if you have the choice then it's a no brainer. Cupra R all the way. :D

But if your only limited with insurance etc... then the Cupra T would be a good starting point.

Have a drive of each and see which you prefer. But chances are you will opt for the LCR. ;)

Link doesn't work btw :p

id agree with that.

There are more differences between the two than most people recognise.

And in particular if you are likely to go the modifying route, or think that you can get the cupra T and then slowely mod it to the spec of the R then just get the R. It will cost you 2-3 times as much to mod a cupra up than to just get the R. (and it still wont be as good) :)

looks like there needs to be some work on panel gaps..

and its intersting to see the clio in the back ground has had the same job on it. ie white with black roof...

id suspect its been a damaged reapir.

I have only just noticed the clio in the background.

Think its a no go then if i have to do work on panel gaps.

If you can afford it the buy the R

I couldn't so bought a normal cupra and have gradually been upgrading it .....its always an option :)

Yea i realise its only a cupra not an R. I like both models to be honest. Just getting some opinions on which one.
I really like the one in the link cause its a rare colour and stands out.
Not sure wether its worth going to look at it, but its 50miles away from where i live.

Trackdays and general urban rallying about i'd say the "R" everytime

for everything else id say Just the Cupra,

The 180 is no slouch, and driven right will give quite a few LCR drivers a run for their money, until you get to corners, :p where the 180's decides to handle like a fat kid driving a fridge in comparison to the R

Ive never understood why people tend to think the 180 as the underdog, the 225 and 180 are two different cars, for different markets, released at different times

Facelift 180s are coming down in price now, but if you can stretch to a LCR go for it!

Thanks for the help guys.
Going to keep looking and see what i can find for the right price.
Need to get the price i want for mine and then go from there.

My opinion is buy a diffrent car lol, megane sport, civic type r anything but this heap, suffer coil fialures, have bad wiring, and cost the earth to repair :( If money is no object then by all means get a cupra r.
